FINALLY

I’m free from doing create tasks but now i have to do novel studies about a book named Refugee By Alan Gratz The summary on the back of the book says

” JOSEF is a Jewish boy living in the 1930s Nazi Germany. With the threat of concentration camps looming, he and his family board a ship bound for the other side of the world…”

“ISABEL is a Cuban girl in 1994. With riots and unrest  plaguing her country, she and her family set out on raft , hoping to find safety in america…”

“MAHMOUD is a Syrian boy in 2015. With his homeland torn apart by violence and destruction, he and his family begin a long trek towards Europe.”

“All three kids go on harrowing  journeys in search of refuge. All will face unimaginable dangers. From drownings to bombing to betrayals. But there is always the hope of tomorrow. And although Josef,Isabel and Mahmoud are separated by continents and decades, shocking Connections will tie their stories together in the end.”

So that is a summary about all of the characters in the book and why they are refugees hinting at the title of the book. the task i had to do surrounding the book is to look into the time period of when these characters stories are set. so for Josef i looked into the times when World War 2 started from 1938-1945 and for Isabel i looked into why Cubans were fleeing the country during 1994. and for Mahmoud i looked into the syrian civil war and how that took place during 2015. i did all of this on one canva presentation covering everything i talked about in this description.

Hello This is me Like 2 weeks or something later and i have finished more tasks now. My first task was to make a presentation about the Jewish tradition known as Kriah. I will explain what Kriah is in my presentation. My next create task is (spoilers for refugee) To make a diary entry for Mahmoud on how his sister died in the story. i explained how Mahmoud’s sister died and tried to make it from his perspective. And both of them are presentations by the way.

For the last task of Week 4 I Made a poem on how one of the characters in this book Ivan. The way ivan died is by getting eating by sharks so expect it to talk about sharks and the water and other stuff like that. My poem is below so read it now.

Ello.

You may have been wondering where i have been for the past two weeks or three maybe. well that is because i have been on holiday for two weeks. so anyways my first create task was to create a canva about an animals habitat. the animal i chose to do was an orangutan. The reason i chose an orangutan is because they look funny… Im being dead serious. so i made the canva explaining about the orangutans habitat and the orangutan in general really. i included things like why they are endangered where they originally came from and where they are now, My work here is finished. Ok so create task 2 i had multiple options for this create task including a diary entry Etc. I chose to make a superhero out of my animal which im pretty sure if you look below this you can see is an orangutan. so i made a poster about my superhero making a design and including his powers/attributes so just scroll a bit and you might find it there. Finally the third create task. i dont know why but i always finish the third create task the fastest. Anyways the third create task i chose was to make an animal enclosure for you animal which For the LAST time is an orangtuan. So i made an orangutan enclosure and explained what it is so it will be below super ape.

so my first create task was ( i’ve said that sentence way to much times) to make a flow chart for

so for the flowchart you need to include 6 facts about your journal my journal being about a guy called Dr. Louis Trembley who doesn’t like the amount of sludge being produced so he decides to use the sludge to make different things like cleaning products (and yes they are safe to use) so that is pretty much up the pipe summarized. my flow chart is below all of this stuff. sooooo Create task two. like most of the times i chose the questioning option which was to question the events that happened in your journal story. And also as usual i did it on canva and the reason why i do my things on canva is because it is probably the easiest way to get things done. Erm so this is my first writing blog in a while so uhh i dont really know what to do im gonna just do the same thing as my reading ones. So for this thingy that i did for writing i like wrote a summary about the life cycle of a butterfly. so i wrote on a google doc so it will be annoying to read when i insert it but that’s googles fault not mine. so anyways i included most of if not all of the stages that the catterpillar/butterfly goes through so my thingy will be below this summary. SOOOO today i finished my create tasks (i actually finished them on Wednesday). so the first one was to make a flow chart about facts about my story my story was called unwanted visitors and its about the things that you cant bring back to new Zealand from other countries around the world. so i included six facts on the flow chart. My thingy is like, below this. Okay so the second one was to question your journal which again is about an airport and what you can/cant bring back from other countries. so i did three or two questions (i cant remember) so it will be below the thing thats already below this text. And finally for the third create task the third create task was pretty much a summary of the journal story you read that week. so the third create task is pretty much an expansion on what i said earlier. it will be below what is below the thing that is below this text
