Activity 4

WALT: represent decimals with base-ten apparatus

we are learning to show decimals with the base ten apparatus on the interactive whiteboard we made 4 decimals using place values to show the decimals the ones we made were 1.7 2.04

3.4 and 0.06 it was not that hard the trick i used is to identify that if the number does not and a 0 in front of it after the decimal point it goes in the tens column each hundred rod= 1 ten=0.1 one=0.01

Tidy drive.

Today in cyber smart we learned to keep our drives tidy. It is important to do that so we can locate our learning without much trouble. For example you don’t have a tidy google drive, you could have multiple copies of a copied file. Below is an example and my tidy drive.

equivalent fractions

Walt: recognise equivalent fractions

we had to use the interactive white board to show even fractions using the number rods of 12

we also learned why and how numbers can be used to make an even fraction of a number by using factors a factor is numbers that are used to make numbers that are equivalent when turned into a fraction the numbers that we focused on to make twelve were 4 1 2 and 6 so then we had to make it with the fractions next to it
